Asetos Pick-Up & Express Shop

Criminals are setting up fake online stores with the sole purpose of scamming customers who have come to rely on the ease and convenience of shopping online. Most online stores don’t have physical presence (brick & mortar shops) and will only courier items to customers once purchases are made online. Some don’t even keep stock. They ship straight from suppliers to customers in what is known as drop shipping. Pickups are not allowed. Criminals have taken advantage of this model of doing business to setup or replicate successful online stores with fake or non-existing physical addresses only to disappear once they have scammed their victims.

These are some of the reasons that have made us to setup a physical express shop called Asetos Xpress where customers can come pick up their purchases, have quick upgrades & repair jobs performed, drop off items for replacement or complex repairs and buy common computer and smartphone parts & accessories over the counter. The move is aimed at adding a layer of legitimacy to our online presence for those who are skeptical about shopping online and offer customers even more convenience in their shopping experience.

The shop is located on 9 Simmonds Street, Marshalltown Johannesburg and we intend to open up other shops in other convenient locations in future. In the past, we have only allowed customers to pick up items from our office premises by appointment but our location on the upper floors of an office building has sometimes proved to pose challenges. The new shop is on the street level in the most secure area of Johannesburg CBD (Next to Standard Bank Head Office). Your items can even be brought out to your car if you don’t have time to walk into the shop (Just park next to the shop on hazards).

Due to physical size limitations, not all products are stocked in the premises. Bulky items such as desktops, servers and related parts are only brought to the premises when an order has been made, and so are rare replacement batteries, screen and chargers. Others like new laptops are simply kept in the warehouse because of security concerns. It helps to confirm stock availability before driving all the way only to find that you have to wait for the item to be brought to the shop or find that it is out of stock all together.

Directions to the shop are very straightforward and easy. You can use Selby or Rissik off-ramp if you are coming from Sandton direction or Rissik off-ramp coming from Germiston direction as indicated on the map above with the red lines.
