These policies are drafted for Asetos Computers' website, online shop, repair intake process, invoices and customer communications. They are intended to be read together. Nothing in these policies removes any consumer right that cannot be excluded under South African law.

1. Personal information collected

Asetos Computers may collect personal information needed to process orders, repairs, payments, deliveries, warranty claims and customer support.

This may include your name, contact details, address, email, phone number, order details, device details, serial numbers, payment reference, courier information and repair history.

2. Device data

Devices booked in for repair may contain personal or business data.

Asetos Computers will not intentionally access, copy or use customer data except where reasonably necessary for diagnosis, backup, data recovery, repair, testing or customer-approved work.

Customers should remove sensitive information where possible and back up important data before booking in a device.

3. Purpose of processing

We process personal information to process orders, provide quotations, perform repairs, arrange courier delivery, verify payments, prevent fraud, manage warranties and returns, communicate with customers, comply with legal duties and keep business records.

4. Sharing of information

We may share necessary information with payment providers, couriers, suppliers, repair partners, IT service providers, accountants, legal advisers, law enforcement or regulators where required or reasonably necessary.

We do not sell customer personal information.

5. Security

Asetos Computers will take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, damage or unlawful processing.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, business records, warranty records, legal compliance, dispute handling or fraud prevention.

7. Customer rights

Customers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information where allowed by law.
