These policies are drafted for Asetos Computers' website, online shop, repair intake process, invoices and customer communications. They are intended to be read together. Nothing in these policies removes any consumer right that cannot be excluded under South African law.
1. Courier partners
Asetos Computers may use The Courier Guy, CourierIT, Internet Express or another suitable courier.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, address errors, payment verification, stock availability, public holidays, load-shedding, strikes, weather or events outside our control.
2. Delivery address
Customers must provide accurate delivery details.
If delivery fails because of an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, refusal to accept delivery or failure to respond to courier communication, the customer may be liable for re-delivery, return, storage or handling costs.
3. Collection
Customers may collect from Asetos Computers at Shop G15, The Zone @ Rosebank, 177 Oxford Road, Rosebank, Johannesburg.
Proof of payment, order confirmation or identification may be required before goods are released.
4. Customer-arranged courier
Customers may send their own courier.
Where the customer arranges their own courier, that courier acts as the customer's agent. Risk passes to the customer once the customer's courier collects the goods from Asetos Computers.
Asetos Computers is not liable for loss, delay or damage caused by a courier appointed by the customer.
5. Damage in transit
If goods arrive damaged, incomplete or visibly tampered with, the customer must notify Asetos Computers immediately, preferably within 24 hours.
The customer must keep all packaging, take photos of the box, packaging material, shipping label and damaged item, and not discard anything until the courier claim is finalised.
Failure to keep the packaging may affect the claim.
6. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are not refundable for items ordered in error or returned for change-of-mind reasons, unless the law requires otherwise.
For valid warranty claims, Asetos Computers will cover reasonable replacement shipping costs where required.
