The Avago AFBR-709ASMZ-E2 is a 10GbE optical transceiver for 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW links in data centres, enterprise networks and storage environments. Operating at 850nm over multimode fibre, it reaches up to 300m on OM3 and 400m on OM4. It uses a hot-swappable SFP+ form factor and includes digital diagnostic monitoring, so engineers can read live optical performance without taking the link down.
